Chilli Chocolate Mousse

Hey guys!

I wanted to share a delicious chilli chocolate mousse recipe that I read online, that is absolutely delicious and made from avocado. It’s a mix between a spicy, nutty and chocolatey and takes no time at all to whip up. It’s not as sweet as other options but I’m not at all a sweet tooth, so I shall share with you how to make this one and if you wanted it to be more traditional you can add a couple of extra tbs of golden syrup.

Ingredients

  • 1 Large Avocado

  • 100g Dairy Free Chocolate (I used chocolate buttons from Asda Free From)

  • Smooth Peanut Butter (Smooth)

  • Raw Cacao (2 tbsp)

  • Oat Milk (5 tbsp)

  • Salt (1 tsp)

  • Chilli Oil (1 tsp)

So this is the easiest thing ever to do, you have to just blend of all the ingredients. I melted some free from chocolate buttons in a pan, it didn’t take that long at all to melt but be careful not to burn them if you’re using a microwave. The easiest thing to do is to have a large bowl with a cup in, and then fill the bowl with boiling water and use the heat of the water to melt the chocolate. Then add a large avocado to a bowl, maybe add a couple of small ones if you can’t find a large one. They need to be super soft otherwise there will be a ‘green’ taste to the final. Then add the oat milk, the chocolate and the peanut butter, chilli oil and blend until smooth.

I wanted to ensure there was no lumps in so I pushed the moose through a sieve until it was extra smooth, and serve in some ramekins. Add to the fridge for an hour and sprinkle with some chilli flakes and enjoy. If you wanted it to be sweeter just add golden syrup before you blend as mentioned. But not too shabby either way.

It’s YUMMY! Let me know what you like at home.
