Working with Travel Brands and my Commitment with JHournal

Hey everyone!

This isn’t a massive blog, but it’s for total transparency. My goal in creating this website is not to document every trip I go on, many I am going on for a respite and I won’t be covering them here. My intention is to change the travel industry by creating content with travel brands as partnerships, that inspire them to book other LGBT and specifically trans non binary people as ambassadors and creators.

I’m sharing partnerships which are often created by me reaching out to brands, destinations and PR contacts who have asked to work with me in some capacity and we’ve done something new. That’s how I started in beauty, and it’s what I’m now going to be doing as a side project in travel. I choose where I am going to because I have an interest in that destination. I normally cover flights, however many are gifted and assume it’s all either an AD collaboration or a PR collaboration because I will not be identifying each component.

Often times I go into a place and people ask what I do, and I get given things which I am utterly grateful for. Whether I put them online depends on me using them, liking them and wanting to share them. Nothing is going online from my platforms if it doesn’t work, and it isn’t a great experience. I will happily call out a collaborative sponsorship that’s gone wrong which I’ve done in a couple of examples, and I am so grateful to work with excellent partners who can resolve these types of issues.

We need transparency around destinations that are safe for people like me, that’s the goal. So full disclosure and love to all!
