Brighton Renovations
Hey guys!
I wanted to give you a bit of insight into my design system when I create interiors. I’m really into spaces and trying to create a uniformed look to the room, and what I try and keep consistent with my work in photography, design or whatever is to start from a clean background and build. For this particular room, it’s flooded with light, so I really wanted to bring in some sense of that with plants and light, matte walls. It’s normally about the presence of the property as a whole and I think for this property, it’s Brighton based and was built in the 60s so it has a very strange layout. The roof sort of invades the space of the south wall, but is boxed off as pictured in my drawing so it’s sort of like a factory? I wanted to give that industrial feel with furniture that was simple, cheap for me to put together, and dramatic.
I love colour so I wanted to interject some light pinks to compliment the ferns I have ordered so let’s see! I begin this week on the interiors and will document for Renovations Part 4!
