Zaanse Region Windmill Tour

Hey everyone!

Here is a bit more of the Zaanse region just outside of Amsterdam and I wanted to connect these as two as separate entities, because seeing a beautiful windmill in Amsterdam needs a moment of its own. So to get to the beautiful meadow region you can take a bus, or you can organize a catered trip with a tour guide that takes you around the cheese factories, the windmills and the lake-side walk. If you wanted to book this as a package the prices start around £55 but you can self organise the transport and make your own way, which we chose instead.

The photos of my mum when she was a kid were near the same clogs that were here, so I was really fascinated to see them. The windmills are really beautiful and the day was majorly temperate, so it was great for March. We were just outside of Tulip season but they offer tours starting in two weeks time for anyone wanting to see the fields of flowers traditional to Amsterdam.
