Food For Friends

Hey everyone!

One of my favourite places to eat if you’re vegan is Food for Friends in Brighton. I and the Baron wanted to go here for our Holliday dinner celebration because we were all up in the air over regarding cooking from home, so I chose the above late and the Baron, who’s been vegetarian his whole life but does eat cheese and so on, got the below.

Food for Friends is a staple here, it’s an awesome, high-quality restaurant and the prices reflect that. They offer vegetarian food that’s interesting, you get a lot of texture, colour and flavour. My dish had loads of crunch and the pickled carrots and parsnips went together amazingly, it was like using elements of a traditional roast and making it delicious. The pesto sauce on the base of the plate was a great addition and there was some delicious romanesco broccoli to make it great. We got some sides of fries and it was really a lovely ambience for Christmas.

You normally would pay £5-8 for a starter or side, £12-15 for a main. Drinks are around £4-10 depending on if you want a small glass of wine or a cocktail with a spin, they’re pretty reasonable. We chose a holiday menu which was available for that period so it was pretty straight forward and we paid about £50 for the entire meal. Definitely recommended if you want a classic Brighton vegetarian hotspot.
